Fundraiser – Kenny Tuitec

The Bilo Bar Club would like announce our support of the below fundraising initiative being undertaken by one of our members. Whilst our constitution doesn’t have the allowance to fundraise for an individual we whole-heartedly support the efforts of our members in their support of the Fijian communities members.

“Hi, my name is Gary and I’m reaching out to all those people who know or who have crossed paths with this Champion man.  KENNY TUITECI.

Kenny worked at the Shangri-La Resort in Fiji for over 20 years in the Sport & Recreational Department fulfilling many roles during this time. Kenny crossed paths with Thousands of tourists each year and would always put a smile on their faces.  Kenny reached Fijis retirement age in 2016 and had been enjoying his free time catching up with many of the guests he had met over the years, playing Golf, Fishing, Farming, and looking after his 4 beautiful children as a Widowed Father.

Kenny’s life turned upside down recently suffering a Minor Stroke which has affected his left arm and his ability to walk and perform the simple daily tasks we all take for granted. This incident has become a huge burden on Kenny’s children also and has forced Kenny and 2 of his children to relocate from his Lifetime home & Village Lase Lase Sigatoka down to Nausori some 2 1/2 hrs. away to live with his eldest Daughter (Pauline) so the kids can take care of their Dad as a team.

I recently done a quick whip around and with the help of a couple of friends and raised enough money to buy Kenny a wheelchair & Walking Frame to ease the burden on the kids, but he is going to need a lot more with a very long road ahead. I have Known Kenny for over 18 yrs. and he has never once asked for a helping hand. A Very Humble Man.  Funds raised for Kenny will help contribute to Therapy & Treatment, House Modifications, Specialised shower chair etc.”
