On Melbourne Cup Day we had organised Local Horse Racing for our Bilo Bar Members.
We had 30 horses arrange for the race out of this only 10 horses will run for each race. The race included a Short Sprint, Medium Sprint than the Longest Distance.
The main race was the Longest Distance race which had the highest prize money on offer together with a trophy. First line up ran at sharp 12.00 noon and then 1/2 hour later was the second race then the last race. Luckily it was still low tide.
After all the race at 2.00pm we had the fancy Dress & Fancy Hat Competition. Thank you for all those members that sponsored prizes for the competition. The ladies looked lovely in their fancy outfit.
And later that afternoon we had the Melbourne Cup screened live at the Bilo Bar.
