Dear Bilo Bar Members,
Ni sa bula vinaka from the team at Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort & Spa and your home away from home.
As many of you are aware this year marks our 50th year since the resort was built and 44 years as a Shangri-La hotel. Our resort opened for business on 1st September 1967 and on Sunday 22nd October Fiji’s first local Governor General and late high chief, Ratu Sir George Cakobau, officially opened the resort.

Since that momentous occasion and through decades of many highs and some lows the resort continues to remain true to the spirit of being a truly Fijian resort.
As we continue this journey we look forward to sharing with you the completion of our first two Lagoon blocks as well as the revamp of the Golden Cowrie restaurant and Black Marlin Bar.
Works on the last three Lagoon blocks will continue from July onwards.
Further works will also be carried out on the Lagoon Pool area from September 1st and will be completed before your reunion from 29th October – 11th November
Vinaka vakalevu and we look forward to welcoming you all soon.
Vinaka vakalevu
